Rustic Road project 'Tops Out'

VENICE, Fla. – Stakeholders in a new 303-unit apartment complex in North Venice came together this week to celebrate the project’s ‘top out.’

The event marked the completion of framing for the $53 million Rustic Road Apartments, located at 2600 Rustic Road and 1700 Ranch Road in Sarasota County, just east of Interstate 75.

General Contractor Fansler Construction is working with Atlanta-based South City Partners on the development, which is slated for completion in early 2025.

Project leads from Fansler and South City joined representatives from Empire Finish Systems, responsible for exteriors, framing and drywall, along with other subcontractors, for lunch and raffle giveaways and applauded crews for maintaining a safe job site that produces results.

Rustic Road Apartments will feature nine different floor plans, including 162 one-bedroom, 121 two-bedroom and 20 three-bedroom units. Amenities for the community include a resort-style swimming pool, grill stations, fire pit, a dog park, dog wash station, putting green, fitness center, business center and game room.
