WINTER GARDEN, Fla. – A new hotel concept is now under development in Downtown Winter Garden.

Jacksonville-based contractor Fansler Construction, along with development and equity partners WGH Property LLC and 3R HOLDCO LLLP, broke ground Monday on Hotel Winter Garden, a luxury 4-story boutique hotel at the corner of Plant Street and N. Highland Avenue.

The hotel will feature 60 luxury guest suites, including 10 penthouse suites with balconies overlooking the downtown district along the West Orange Trail. Plans for the project also include a high-end lobby restaurant, and a bar and lounge with outdoor lanai space along Plant Street.

“We are thrilled to be working with WGH Property and 3R HOLDCO to bring this beautiful vision to life,” said Jason Fansler, President and CEO of Fansler Construction. “The property has been thoughtfully designed to match the unique vibrancy of the Winter Garden area.”

The building design, crafted by architectural company Aesthetics Department, LLC, is being described as “mercantile vernacular,” to blend seamlessly with the downtown environment. Complementing interior design work will be executed by Post Company, based in Brooklyn, NY.

Once completed, Florida-based hospitality and lifestyle company Knallhart Management Group will add the property to its growing management portfolio.

“Hotel Winter Garden is a project we're incredibly proud to be part of,” said Chief Operating Officer Ruby Stephan. “From day one, the vision has been to create something that not only elevates the hospitality experience, but also complements the charm, character, and continued growth of Downtown Winter Garden.”

Additionally, the hotel design includes several ballrooms and board rooms for hosting events, as well as a second-floor pool and cabana bar. A pedestrian entrance is planned for Plant Street, with valet service and guest entry fronting N. Highland Avenue.

The project is scheduled for completion in December of 2027.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held for Hotel Winter Garden on July 20.
