Fansler Construction breaks ground on The Note apartments by: Monty Zickuhr

The $49.6 million community is off Max Leggett Parkway in North Jacksonville.

Fansler Construction announced Nov. 15 it broke ground on its inaugural project, The Note, a 290-unit apartment community in North Jacksonville.

The $49.6 million community is planned at 14041 Hyatt Road off Max Leggett Parkway west of North Main Street. It is east of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs outpatient clinic and domiciliary under construction.

Fansler is the general contractor. The Note is being developed by Chance Partners.


It is the second North Jacksonville apartment project for Chance Partners. The Sagefield, at 13283 N. Main St., about a mile south, was its first.

“Our partnership with Chance Partners will provide the growing North Jacksonville area with a superior community living experience,” said Jason Fansler, president and CEO of Fansler Construction.

Fansler said its staff has a combined 100 years of construction experience, with more than 15,000 units completed.

“We have recruited some of the best professionals in the business to lead our projects,” Fansler said.

“We look forward to providing more job opportunities in Jacksonville and beyond as we continue to grow.”

Plans for The Note include a resort-style pool, fire pit and outdoor kitchen, clubhouse with a coworking space, 24-hour fitness center, pet spa and a Starbucks Coffee bar.

The project is scheduled for completion in summer 2024, with pre-leasing expected to begin in late 2023.
