POWDER SPRINGS, Ga. – A 290-unit luxury apartment complex is slated for development in Cobb County, Ga., a Jacksonville-based multifamily contractor announced this week.
Fansler Construction recently broke ground on the project, SCP Macedonia, off Macedonia Road in Powder Springs, the company’s second in the Atlanta metro area.
Atlanta real estate developer South City Partners is heading the project, its third venture with Fansler Construction. The duo is also collaborating on a 303-unit complex in Venice, Fla., and a 316-unit complex in Douglasville, Ga.
“We are excited to further expand our footprint in the Atlanta area,” said Jason Fansler, President and CEO of Fansler Construction. “We anticipate SCP Macedonia will be yet another successful, quality project with South City Partners.”
The project will feature eight three-story apartment buildings and six two-story townhomes. The 6,500 square foot clubhouse will house a fitness center, game room with beer taps, and leasing offices. Other amenities include a car wash area, pet spa, dog park, pickleball courts, walking trails and electric vehicle charging stations throughout the community. Atlanta firm Dynamik Design is the architect on the project.
SCP Macedonia is scheduled for completion in December 2025.
